Immersed in the beautiful countryside just minutes from Cortona, the Relais is a traditional 18th century historic residence. This stone country home, lovingly restored to preserve its authenticity has recently been awarded with the very prestigious 4 stars as a "Period Residence". One of the oldest cities in Italy, it was here that Hannibal routed the Romans in the 2nd century. Although it has Etruscan origins, what you see today is mainly medieval. In the ancient centre are historical buildings and the Etruscan Museum home to archaeological masterpieces. Arezzo is under an hour’s drive while Siena and the northern towns of Umbria can easily be visited in a day.
